On the recently colonized Crystal Planet, 11-year-old Rea befriends a dinosaur-like cub named Burgy, who was separated from his mother by a mutant monster. As Rea attempts to reunite Burgy with his mother, she faces a dangerous task when they cross paths with the ruthless Governor, who seeks to exploit Burgy’s unique abilities for profit. Rea and Burgy must rely on their bond of friendship and courage to overcome the challenges that stand in their way and protect the fragile balance of life on the Crystal Planet…

Dušan Vukotić (1927 – 1998) was an award-winning cartoonist, author and director of animated and feature films from the former Yugoslavia. He is the best known member of the Zagreb School of Animated Film. In 1953 he was one of the founding members of Zagreb Film and worked there for over four decades. He won an Oscar for best animated short in 1962 for Surogat (“Ersatz”), the first foreigner to do so. Another of his short films, Igra (“The Game”), was nominated for an Academy Award in 1963. After the mid-1960s, he occasionally made short animated films, and made three full-length movies: fantasy tale for children Sedmi kontinent (“The Seventh Continent”, 1966), action movie Akcija Stadion (“Operation Stadium”) set during the WW2 and science fiction/horror parody Gosti iz galaksije (“Visitors from the Galaxy”, 1981). He was a member of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Science. At the time of his death, Vukotic was preparing the production of his new science fiction movie, co-written by the Croatian science fiction writer Aleksandar Žiljak.

Aleksandar Žiljak (born 1963) is a science fiction and fantasy writer and illustrator from Zagreb, Croatia. In 2006, he co-edited Ad Astra, an anthology of Croatian SF stories, which covers the period from 1976 to 2006, and is the co-editor of the Croatian literary SF journal Ubiq, voted the Best European SF Journal at Eurocon in Stockholm 2011. Žiljak is the winner of four SFERA Awards, two for Best Story and two for Best Illustration. His story “An Evening in the City Coffeehouse, With Lydia on My Mind” was included in The Apex Book of World SF (2009).
